Provincial armed forces uphold core role, taking lead in Covid-19 prevention and control

On the afternoon of November 12, provincial Military Command held a conference to review its Covid-19 prevention and control during the 4th wave of the pandemic.

The event was attended by Major General Dang Van Hung, Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the Military Zone 7; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Colonel Dinh Trong Co, Deputy Commander of provincial Military Command said that when the 4th epidemic dit not yet broke out, on the basis of all-level authorities, provincial Military Command actively coordinated with departments, sectors to effectively implement Covid-19 prevention and control; coordinated with relevant forces to handle riots, maintaining security and order; directed armed forces to coordinate with relevant units in maintaining political security - social order and safety, creating favorable conditions for localities to effectively implement Covid-19 prevention and control...

Upholding their core role, taking the lead in Covid-19 prevention and control, many collectives and individuals have not been afraid of hardships, always standing side by side with the regular army and local forces in well performing entrusted tasks; excelled at making propaganda, orienting awareness and creating consensus in the society, contributing to embellishing the tradition of the province's armed forces. On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded for their outstanding achievements in Covid-19 prevention and control.
