Provincial Arts Literature Associated Society keeps gather artists to compose for a rich and beautiful Binh Duong province

Morning Dec 16, provincial Arts Literature Associated Society convened the 7^th Arts Literature Associated Society Congress of the 2015-2020 tenure. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee; Huynh Thanh Long, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Council; Professor – musician Ca Le Thuan, Vice President of the National Committee of Vietnam Arts Literature Associations Union; representatives of departments, agencies and leaders of neighboring Arts Literature Associated Societies, and nearly 200 delegates of affiliates attended the session.

According to musician Vo Dong Dien, Chairman of provincial Arts Literature Associated Society, this was the general assembly of cultural soldiers that jointly had created, composed to serve political missions, stayed side by side with the people with good works, and were entering the accelerated stage towards Binh Duong New City directly under the Central before 2020. The 7^th Congress also reviewed achievements as well as limitations to overcome and turn towards a new tenure of “Solidarity - innovation - democracy - humanism".

At the conference, delegates also heard reports on achieved results during the last term. Accordingly, provincial artists upheld creativeness, improvement to adapt to the innovation. Provincial Arts Literature Associated Society was a common house to gather, unite provincial artists to jointly build up an advanced literature and arts imbued with national identity. Provincial Arts Literature Associated Society has now 378 members of 7 sub-associations, and 1 specialized association, including: Literature, Folklore, Theater, Music, Dance, Photography, Fine Arts, and Architecture. During the last term, the society admitted 90 local members and 16 members from central associations. The society also organizes field trips, composing camps for members, printed and issued 12,420 copies of books and tapes composed by members.

The Congress also drew up directions, orientations for the coming term to gather, unite artists to compose for a prosperous and civilized Binh Duong province.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Thanh Liem congratulated the Congress of provincial writers and artists. On behalf of provincial leadership, he appreciated achievements of the society during the last term. He stressed, provincial renovation and development should be more reflected. Artists need to turn towards the true, the good, and the beautiful, need bravery in writing, art works should be stuck close on the reality. The society needs to detect, cultivate artist team having a firm political bravery, pure moral qualities, a high sense of responsibility, sticking to the national construction and protection…

Provincial Party Committee gave the commendation flag of “Solidarity - innovation - democracy - humanism" to the Congress. PPC awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 17 individuals making high achievements in the last tern. National Committee of Vietnam Arts Literature Associations Union gave emulation flags to Provincial Arts Literature Associated Society, and medals to 13 individuals making large contributions to art cultural activities.

The Congress elected 15 new members to the new Executive Committee. Vo Dong Dien was reelected as the 7^th Chairman of Provincial Arts Literature Associated Society (2015-2020 tenure).
