Provincial People’s Committee yesterday held a conference to review the province’s reward-emulation activities in 2010 and devise orientations, tasks for 2011. Possibly speaking, the province’s reward-emulation activities last year were under deep development with many emulation movements in association with the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign, making strong changes among each organization and individuals and actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Last year, provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee further instructed sectors and localities to thoroughly grasp the Politburo’s Directives on “Further improving and promoting patriotic movement, discovering and replicating exemplary role-models in the movement”, “Implementing the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign and the Central Reward-Emulation Council’s documents on emulation-reward task…

Noticeably, the province’s Fatherland Front bloc successfully launched and organized a lot of emulation movements, namely “The entire people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas”; “the Day for the Poor”, “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods”…, contributing to raising the material and spiritual lives of all walks of life. The province’s sectors, mass organizations and localities also effectively realized many other emulation movements such as “All people take part in defending national security”, “Women actively study, creatively work and build happy families”, “Good teaching and learning”…

Tran Trong Lam, deputy director of provincial Home Affairs Department cum head of provincial Reward and Emulation Committee said that the province’s emulation movements last year made obvious progress and went into deep development. The province’s sectors and levels paid attention to replicating exemplary role-models and effective emulation models; connected many emulation movements with the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign…

Last year, provincial Reward-Emulation Council also suggested the Government and State President to award the first, second, third-class Labor Medals to 32 collectives and 58 individuals, 2 Great Unity Medals, 2 titles of “national emulation soldier”…Provincial People’s Committee also awarded 203 titles of “provincial-level emulation soldier”, 202 titles of “excellent collective”, 41 emulation banners and 3,383 certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movements.
