Provincial Labor Union gives support for over 4,000 trade unionists affected by Covid-19

Under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s Decision No.643/QD-TLD dated May 22, 2020 regarding financial support for trade unionists and laborers affected by Covid-19 pandemic, provincial Labor Union has instructed trade union locals to be proactive to grasp the situation of enterprises and laborers hit by the pandemic.

Accordingly, trade union locals have so far supported more than VND2billion for 4,005 trade unionists and laborers affected by Covid-19 pandemic. They have also helped trade unionists and laborers get loans through the Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP). Since the beginning of the pandemic season, there have been 1,815 workers with extremely difficult circumstances submitting applications for more than VND 9billion in loan. The CEP has also disbursed more than VND3.6billion for 737 cases…

Provincial Labor Union has also held delegations to visit and offer more than VND1.5billion to 195 cases from its fund for workers with extremely difficult circumstances.
