Provincial leader meets with Taiwanese enterprises

Early October 28, provincial People’s Committee held a dialogue with Taiwanese enterprises. Attending the event were Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Luong Quang Trung, Head of Taipei Cultural-Economic Office in HCM city; representatives of sectors, departments, Taiwanese Business Association and Taiwanese-invested enterprises in the province.

 This is an overall picture of the dialogue

As of mid October, 2016, Taiwan ranked second among countries and territories investing in Binh Duong with 738 projects totaling more than US$5.15billion. Over the past ten years, the province absorbed additional 28 newly-registered Taiwanese projects and 14 extra-ones with total investment capital of US$131million.

At the dialogue, Taiwanese investors paid attention to the issues of the local traffic system, internet connection speed, land use, value added tax (VAT) refundment, procedures for granting work permits to foreigners…Most petitions also received satisfactory answers from relevant agencies.

Concluding the dialogue, Mr.Liem said that over the past years, the province attached special importance to promoting the local traffic infrastructure and vocational training. In the coming time, the province will further map out concrete plans to develop the two fields. On behalf of provincial leaders, he also wanted that Binh Duong will continue being a destination for Taiwanese investors.
