At the reception, the ambassador sent his profound thanks to leaders of the province and Vietnamese Government for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for Singaporean businesses to effectively work. He said that so far, Singaporean businesses have poured more than US$34.7bln into Vietnam, in which Binh Duong has attracted more than US$1.8bln. Especially, the two countries’ Governments have set up Vietnam-Singaporean Industrial Park (VSIP) in Binh Duong. It is expected that VSIP will mark its 20th founding anniversary in July 2016, making nice development milestones of the two countries’ Governments and people. He also wanted that provincial leaders will continue facilitating Singaporean businesses’ development and invited them to visit Singapore.
Mr.Nam also thanked the ambassador for his active support to Singaporean businesses operating in Binh Duong. He spoke highly of contributions by Singaporean businesses to Binh Duong while wanting that the ambassador to further support Vietnam and Binh Duong, especially VSIP to reach sustainable development.
*The same day, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee also welcomed the ambassador.
At the reception, Mr.Liem informed the ambassador about Binh Duong’s preferential policies for businesses while affirming that the province has always created the best conditions for foreign businesses to work.
