Provincial leaders take part in launching ceremonies of "Tree Planting Festival to commemorate Uncle Ho"...

On May 19, on the occasion of the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th 1890 - May 19th 2022), the provincial leaders attended the launching ceremony of " Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" in localities in the province. The launching ceremony of " Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" is a meaningful activity to enhance the movement of planting trees and forests; contribute to raising party members and people’s awareness of the care and protection of trees, protection of forest resources and ecological environment.

* At the launching ceremony of " Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" of Thu Dau Mot City in Dinh Hoa ward, there was the participation of Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; leaders of some departments and branches of the province and Thu Dau Mot City.

According to leaders of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, to implement the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh "For the sake of ten-years tree planting, for the benefit of hundreds-of-year people cultivation", the city has implemented many solutions to develop the movement of planting, protecting and caring for trees, and has been agreed and supported by the people. Many parks have been built and renovated in combination with planting trees, improving the urban appearance. In addition, the city added and replaced many types of trees around office buildings, streets and residential areas, contributing to increasing the proportion of trees, increasing the green coverage of the city. Up to now, the city completed and put into use 105 parks, the proportion of greenery area reached about 23m2 / person.

In 2022, Thu Dau Mot City has organized propaganda activities to call on agencies, units, business organizations and people to plant and care for trees to protect the living environment for people, resulting in more than 5,000 trees of all kinds planted. After the launch ceremony, the delegates planted trees in quarter 5, Dinh Hoa ward.

* In the morning of the same day, at Ho Lang Revolutionary monument and ecotourism zone in Tan Binh ward of Di An City, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, took part in the launching ceremony of "Eternal Tree Planting Festival 2022 to commemorate Uncle Ho" held by Di An City People's Committee.

At the ceremony, leaders of Di An City People's Committee said that in 2021 and the first four months of 2022, there were nearly 10,000 trees planted in the city. On this occasion, the delegates together planted 180 trees that will not only create shade but also improve aesthetic value of the city projects. After the launch ceremony, seven wards in the city simultaneously responded to the campaign to plant trees dispersedly, contributing to increasing the proportion of urban trees and protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment.

* In the morning of the same day, People's Committee of Ben Cat Town also held a ceremony to launch the "Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho". Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Come, attended the ceremony. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Le Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of Ben Cat Town People's Committee, called on agencies, units, localities and people in the town to raise awareness of the meaning and purpose of planting trees and actively respond to the movement. Planting trees is to commenmorate Uncle Ho, create green - clean - beautiful urban views, improve the ecological environment, living standars of  the community. Immediately after the launch ceremony, delegates together with a large number of officials, civil servants, young people, students of Ben Cat Town planted trees at Luong The Vinh High School (My Phuoc ward).

* At the launching ceremony " Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" of Thuan An City in An Thanh ward, Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Propagation Education Committee; and representatives of provincial departments, branches, unions, and the city leaders planted trees in the school campus. The delegates encouraged the students to always try studying well, spending time taking care of trees to create shade for the school as well as contribute to protecting the environment.

* In the morning of the same day, Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organizing Committee, attended the launching ceremony of "Eternal Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" in Dau Tieng district. After the launch ceremony, delegates and people planted dozens of trees at Dong Ba Ba hamlet Cultural House in Long Hoa commune. According to the plan, in 2022, Dau Ngan district strives to plant 10,000 trees. Since 2020, the whole district has planted 23,480 trees in schools, commune cultural centers, hamlet offices, cemeteries, public lands, roads, residential areas. The percentage of trees reaches over 70%.

* On May 19, People's Committee of North Tan Uyen District also held a ceremony to launch the “Tree Planting Festival to commemorate Uncle Ho". Attending the ceremony were Vo Van Ba, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Cabinet Committee; and more than 200 civil servants and youth union members in the district. At the ceremony, delegates planted 200 trees at Cultural, Sports and Radio Center of North Tan Uyen District. This was an activity with the aim of spreading extensively, raising awareness and responsibility of the people's classes in activities protecting natural resources and environment; mobilizing agencies, organizations and people to participate in planting forest trees, build flower gardens, contributing to creating beautiful landscapes, reducing environmental pollution, adapting to climate change.

* At the launching ceremony of "Eternal Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" of Phu Giáo District in An Long commune, Ho Quang Diep, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; and representatives of departments, units and local authorities planted more than 100 trees in this commune. According to Phu Giáo District People's Committee, the district has developed green areas with a coverage rate of nearly 70%. In the 2022-2027 period, the district set out a target to plant 1.3 million new trees throughout the district. Accordingly, all public areas, schools and offices must plant trees or flowers to create shade and beautify urban views; at the same time, contributing to the completion of the goal of building new advanced rural areas, new rural models of the district. Besides planting trees, the district constructed more parks and public play areas to improve the spiritual life of the people.

* The launching ceremony of "Eternal Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" in Tan Hiep ward of Tan Uyen Town had the participation of Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and branches. After the launch ceremony, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and local authorities planted 250 new trees on the campus of Tan Hiep Junior High School. Mai Hung Dung also hoped that after planting, agencies, units and localities cared and protected the trees, to meet the target and plan set out.

* In Lai Uyen town, Bau Bang District, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of departments, branches, unions and a large number of civil servants, youth union members and armed forces of the district attended the launching ceremony of "Eternal Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho". According to leaders of Bau Bang district, the rate of green coverage in the district reached 73%, including perennial industrial plants and fruit trees. Particularly, the number of forestry trees planted dispersedly in public areas and industrial parks is over 29,100 and makes up about 95ha.
