Provincial leaders to welcome Consul General of Singapore in HCMC

On Jan 11, Tran Van Nam, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, held the reception for Leow Siu Lin, Consul General of Singapore in HCMC. At the meeting, Leow Siu Lin appreciated the fruitful cooperation relation between Vietnam and Singapore in recent years, and hoped that the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore in general and between Binh Duong and Singapore in particular would be further developed, more successful in the future.

Tran Van Nam, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, thanked Leow Siu Lin for visiting and good comments on Binh Duong province’s development, and said that the cooperation between Binh Duong and Singapore had got good results partially coming from large contributions of Singapore Consulate General and Consul Leow Siu Lin. Mr. Nam informed, Singapore was ranked 4^th among 41 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong Pacific with investment capital of over 2 billion USD. Notably, Vietnam – Singapore industrial parks (VSIP) have been successful in not only Binh Duong but also other 6 provinces and cities nationwide. Mr. Nam hoped that the Consulate General would continue to be a bridge for Singaporean enterprises to invest in Binh Duong in the future. The province will also continue the administrative procedure reform, and facilitate Singaporean enterprises.

On the same day, Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, also had a meeting with Leow Siu Lin, Consul General of Singapore in HCMC. . At the meeting, both sides expressed their happiness because of good results in investment cooperation between the two countries as well as between Binh Duong and Singapore, and hoped that this cooperation would be more successful in the future.
