Many substantial activities were organized by provincial Trade Unions at all levels in response to the 2012 Month for Young Workers, contributing to creating an useful playground for laborers.

In response to the 2012 Month for Young Workers launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Trade Union local of Ye Tec Co. in the Di An town-based Song Than 2 industrial park organized a sports festival named “The Ye Tec family day” with two events: football and tug of war, creating an useful playground for workers.

To Nguyen Xuan Truong, chairman of Ye Tec Co.’s Trade Union local, the company is specialized in manufacture of sports footwear with more than 1,000 workers. The company’s directorate and Trade Union local have always paid attention to the spiritual and material lives of workers.

In addition, the Trade Union local of Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation actively responded to the 2012 Month for Young Workers with the emulation content of “Productivity-Quality-Efficiency-Saving-Labor safety and hygiene”. the company’s Trade Union local also attached special importance to building a cultural lifestyle among workers to well implement the above emulation content…

Additional useful playgrounds for workers

Provincial Industrial Parks’ Trade Union has cooperated with Binh Duong Labor Magazine to organize the first provincial Charming Pageant for Young Workers 2012 with participation of 70 candidates. It is expected that the final round of the pageant will take place in late June.

The provincial Mini-Football Tournament for Employees 2012 also lured more than 500 athletes from 43 football teams belonging to State agencies and enterprises across the province.

Nguyen Thien Phuoc, head of provincial Labor Union’s Propaganda and Education Committee said that there were many significant activities for workers during the 2012 Month for Workers.

Along with cultural-sports activities, provincial Trade Unions at all levels made inspection tours of the implementation of laws and policies pertaining to workers’ legitimate rights and interests; organized meetings between the local leaders, employers and employees…
