As planned, the 18th session of the 7th legislature People’s Council will be held in 4 days from December 7 to 10. Many activities are conducted in the last 2 weeks preparing for the session. Inspection team of provincial People’s Council has worked with establishments on fighting and preventing drugs and prostitutions as well as poverty reduction and hunger eradication. From now to the end of October, this team will continue its inspection in many other fields, especially in area of Ba Bo dyke.
Mrs. Mai Thi Dung, a permanent commissioner of provincial People’s Council, has lead the team to inspect the tasks of fighting and preventing drugs and prostitution as well as poverty reduction and hunger eradication in 3 communes of Binh Hoa, Thuan Giao, and An Phu. She appreciated good work done by local authorities but called for more improvements to better prevent prostitution and offer more qualified young employees to enterprises.
Previously, legislature committee of provincial People’s Council has inspected crime prevention in 3 districts of Di An, Thuan An, and Ben Cat. According to this committee’s report, crimes have been reduced but crime cases committed by immigration people from other provinces are accounted for 73.3% of the cases caused. Head of this committee Mrs. Luu Kim Loan suggested that local police forces should improve their fights against such crimes. Meantime, she called for more examples of fighting crimes as far as propaganda is concerned.
To the end of October, provincial People’s Council will conduct more inspection including environment inspection in area around Ba Bo dyke in Binh Hoa, Thuan An. The inspection is to survey for reasonable measures to minimize pollution.
Meanwhile, from November 1 to 12, meeting with voters will be organized preparing for voting of delegations to 2-level People’s Council in province and districts.
By then, ideas of voters will be compiled prior to November 19 and be presented in draft resolution.
In recent joint meeting, Permanent Committee Vice Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council Chairman Vu Minh Sang evaluated that the 18th session is a meaningful one to review resolutions of socio-economic development and propose plans for next stages. Therefore, he called for promoting reports of sectors.
