Provincial Women’s Union marks 1979th anniversary of two Trung sisters’ uprising, 109th anniversary of In’l Women’s Day

Early March 8, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 1979 anniversary of the two Trung sisters’ uprising and the 109^th anniversary of the International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910-March 3, 2019).

The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women; former leaders of provincial Women’s Union over periods; leaders of sectors, departments and numerous women in the province.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the significance of the two Trung sisters’ uprising and the Int’l Women’s Day. On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union launched an emulation movement on “Women with business startup” and implemented the 2019 theme of “Safety for women and children”’; offered gifts to disadvantageous women and children, female workers at lodging facilities; congratulated cadres of the local Women’s Union on their longevity; signed a joint program between provincial Women’s Union and Jurists Association for the 2019-2021 period.

Addressing the event, Mr.Hung extended the best regards to women on the occasion of In’t Women’s Day while asking for provincial Women’s Unions at all levels to be proactive to coordinate with units to set concrete programs to well realize the safe year for women and children…
