Provincial War Veterans Association (WVA) officially opened its fifth congress for the 2012 and 2017 tenure yesterday, September 26.
Provincial WVA’s new executive board for the 2012 and 2017 tenure introduced
The congress approved the report on the result of the association’s activities in the 2007 and 2012 tenure and defined orientations, measures for the 2012 and 2017 tenure. Accordingly, provincial WVA will strive to get 100% of cadres and members well fulfilling entrusted tasks, 98% of affiliates with the “strong and pure” title, 98% of members with the “exemplary” title, 98% of members and above with the “cultural family” title; have no more poor households under the new poverty line at the end of the tenure; give vocational training and introduce jobs to war veterans who have strength for labor, helping them stabilize their lives…
Vu Minh Sang, Standing Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Council applauded achievements done by provincial WVA in the last tenure while hoping that provincial WVA and its affiliates will successfully realize the set targets and orientations.
The congress also elected a new executive board for the 2012 and 2017 tenure, including 25 members. Phan Thanh Son was nominated as Chairman of the association. The congress also sorted out a 27-member delegation to attend the upcoming National War Veterans Congress.
