Realizing desire to rise up

After more than 35 years together with the whole country in implementing the Party's renewal policy and 25 years of construction and development, Binh Duong has achieved many important achievements in all fields. These precious achievements are not automatically obtained, but are a process of the Party and people's solidarity, unity, constant exploration, dynamism, creativity, determination to overcome all obstacles to fulfill the local aspiration to rise up.

Inheriting traditions, upholding achievements

Looking at the statistics on industrial development, investment attraction, State budget collection or a rapidly increasing number of employees..., it is not difficult to see that Binh Duong is the most strongly developed locality in the Southern key economic region and the whole country. A Binh Duong homeland with spectacular change like today is the result of efforts, creativity and the spirit of solidarity and unity in the entire Party Committee, government, people and business community.

Binh Duong identifies sustainable development goals towards a smart, civilized and modern city

Binh Duong, which was not endowed with natural resources, was severely damaged by the war and had a low starting point in many aspects, but thanks to promoting the revolutionary tradition and taking advantage of the local comparative advantages, provincial Party Committee led authorities and people to overcome difficulties, creatively implement the Party's renewal policy, build up a more and more prosperous locality with people's lives constantly improved. In particular, provincial Party Committee and government have set forth correct, innovative guidelines and decisions to lead the construction of Binh Duong to become a locality with dynamic development, an important area connecting provinces and cities of the Southern Key Economic Zone, modern industrial - urban centers.

In order to maximize the mobilization of resources to participate in the implementation of economic development goals, the province has implemented a policy of "Rolling out flower mats to call for investors" and "Rolling out red carpets to welcome talents", especially paid special attention to innovating models in attracting investment, creating a new growth driving force while focusing on drastically implementing a policy of investing in a synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure system, in which transport infrastructure is prioritized for investment one step ahead to pave the way for economic development. In the socio-cultural field, the province has focused on better solving the relationship between economic growth, social progress and justice in each policy. The local social welfare policies have been improved, ensuring that all people get full care and fairly enjoy benefit from economic development achievements. The province has mobilized maximum resources to invest in the development of education and health care and well solved investment and development problems in social housing. The province has reached important achievements in poverty reduction. In 2017, the province was recognized as a locality without poor households under central standards.

Towards a modern urban and industrial hub

Being proud of achievements, determined to overcome shortcomings and promote valuable experience, provincial Party Committee has set a development goal in the coming time: "Continuing building up a pure and powerful Party organization; firmly consolidating the people's confidence in the Party and government; accelerating the renewal of economic growth model associated with environmental protection and implementation of strategic breakthroughs; ensuring social welfare and constantly improving people’s material and spiritual lives; stabilizing political security, social order and safety; strengthening external activities; striving to build up a Binh Duong province with sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city. Binh Duong will become a modern industrial hub and  a smart city of the region and the whole country by 2045.

To achieve the above goal, the whole political system and people from all strata in the province continue upholding the tradition of solidarity, dynamism and creativity of the Party Committee, uniting in awareness and action, and upholding the spirit of proactiveness and creativity, promoting patriotic emulation movements, being determined to quickly focus on effectively implementing identified groups of tasks and solutions. Particularly, the province will further strengthen Party building; attach importance to political and ideological education, struggle to protect the Party’s ideological foundation; improve the leadership capacity and combativeness of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of the contingent of cadres and Party members. Simultaneously, the province will further streamline its political system while focusing on effectively implementing planning and training to build up a contingent of cadres meeting the local development requirements.

In the economic field, the province will continue restructuring the local economy in the direction of focusing on restructuring the local industrial sector based on innovation to attract investment, application of science - technology, and high-quality human resources. The province is also interested in developing high-quality services commensurate with industrial and urban development; continues strongly developing urban and hi-tech agriculture; makes efforts on reaching advanced new-style rural standards.

Especially, the province will constantly improve the investment climate, enhancing the local competitiveness, creating new motivations, contributing to improving the efficiency and quality of investment attraction to promote the local socio-economic development. In parallel with further improving the investment environment, the province will strengthen external relations and international economic cooperation to promote investment attraction, import and export, and build Binh Duong smart city. With a view and vision of traffic infrastructure being one step ahead, the province has been interested in investing in traffic infrastructure to expand regional connectivity, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development with focus on mobilizing resources to gradually develop the local waterway traffic system in association with logistics infrastructure...

The 25-year journey of Binh Duong’s construction and development is the continuation of the heroic, creative and dynamic tradition of the local Party Committee and people. The ceaseless efforts by the whole political system, people and business community have created great achievements, transformed the entire structure and image of the local economy and society while contributing lessons that are meaningful both in history, now and in the future.
