Road to the provincial centralized administration center - a key work for development

Thu Dau Mot city People’s Committee just held the ground-breaking ceremony of the 2nd and 3rd phases of road to the provincial centralized administration center. This is a modern urban traffic work with the designed speed of 80km/hour and 8 lanes. Especially, technical infrastructure system such as telecommunication cable, electricity, water supply is installed underground in line with standards of a civilized and modern urban area.

A modern work

The work on road to the provincial centralized administration center has a total length of 6.6km and is started from Binh Duong Avenue – Pham Ngoc Thach’s traffic circle to road No.6 going through Hiep Thanh, Phu My and Hoa Phu wards of Thu Dau Mot city. The 33.5km wide road is designed on standard of the third class urban road with the designed speed of 80km/hour and 8 lanes. Meanwhile, technical infrastructure system including telecommunication cable, electricity, water supply and drainage is designed underground. Along the road include bus stations with instruction boards for disabled and visually-impaired people. The total investment capital of the work is at VND1,917bil.

Owing to its importance and scope, the work is divided into 3 phases. The 3.4km long first phase was completed in mid-2013 while the second and third phases with the length of 3.2km are under started in the same time. Becamex IDC and Vien Dong Co.Ltd will implement construction of the 2nd and 3rd phases with the price of VND298bil within 115 days.

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Van Nam stressed “This is one of 12 key works to build a civilized and modern Binh Duong New City. The work alone will create a new impetus in developing central and satellite urban areas”.

Great response from people

Attending the ground-breaking ceremony were more than 100 households representing the affected households of the work. The work not only changes image of a city on way of development but directly brings business opportunities for local residents.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, chairwomen of Hiep Thanh ward People’s Committee said “To win great response from local residents, we consider the work’s importance to the provincial, municipal and local common development. Thenceforth, we in cooperation with functional agencies disseminate the project’s benefits to local residents and mobilize them to contribute to the local common development”.

On behalf of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Van Nam extended thanks to households affected by the work for their cooperation.

Contractors’ commitment

Becamex IDC vice general director Nguyen Van Hoang, rep of contractor of the work said “the work will be likely put into use in 2014.  Becamex IDC has accumulated many experiences in construction sector and has reached many successes in building traffic works and other important infrastructure projects. In addition, Becamex IDC considers road to the provincial centralized administration center as important work, creating a great connection with regional and national traffic network. Therefore, we are ready to implement the work”.

Pham Phuoc Tan, vice director of Ginimex Co.Ltd, rep of inspection and consultancy unit said “We have enough human resources, modern machines and many experiences to meet requirements of building a safe, quality and ensured work”.

Along with commitment and responsibility of contractors, the work will be completed timely, contributing to take Binh Duong city into a central-run civilized and modern urban area by 2020.
