Scholarships awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils

Early January 9, Phu Giao district’s Study Encouragement Society held a ceremony to award 20 scholarships worth VND1mln each to poor-but-excellent pupils (photo). These scholarships were funded by the 3/2 Investment Construction Joint Stock Company.

The district’s Study Encouragement Society last year mobilized donors to give support of VND380mln for 2,691 local pupils with difficult circumstances. Particularly, they were presented 39 scholarships worth VND228.7mln, 1 charity house worth VND32mln; 26,000 notebooks worth at more than VND12mln; 1 bicycle worth VND1.4mln and 50 sets of coloring books.
