Over the past time, the provincial economic structure focusing on service sector has reached remarkable results. Development pace of service sector in the period of 2011-2013 has won 21.5%, accounting for 35.5% of local economic structure. Upholding the done achievements, Binh Duong has synchronously launched measures to spur development of service economy.  Clients are shopping at Big C supermarket.A rapid development After 18 years of building the first industrial park of Song Than 1 IP, Binh Duong has so far had 28 industrial parks and 8 industrial compounds, helping develop local economy in the trend of industry-service-agriculture. In the recent 5 years, Binh Duong has set out policies to raise density of service sector, reaching remarkable results.The service sector's total retail revenue has increased gradually. Specifically, the service sector reaped VND45,503bil in 2010, VND57,759bil in 2011, VND72,077bil in 2012 and so on. According to a preliminary report on the high quality service development program for the 2011-2015 period and vision till 2020, pace of increasing service sector in the 2011-2013 period was estimated at 21.5%. In reality, the field of service economy in the province has showed a strong change, especially new service forms developed widely with many high quality products, meeting people's transaction demand, contributing to build a urban civilized lifestyle. Notably, service forms relating to finance and currency has showed a strong development with 54 banking branches in the province. In terms of trade field, system of supermarkets, trade centers have been emerged widely with big names such as Metro, Big C, CoopMart and many more. Services of telecommunication, logistics, health, culture, education, insurance, tourism have proven a synchronous development. As for the public service, customs sector has implemented e-customs procedures for 100% of businesses, helping raise transparency, publicity, accuracy and so on.Instruction on economic transfer has reached the set goals in line with the trend of industry-service-agriculture with the respective density of about 61.5%-35%-3.5%.Transfer continued Once industrial production is formed up, service economy will be spurred and service will support for industrial production. The economic structure transfer on industry-service-agriculture has reflected inter-sectoral development, showing interaction between industry and service. To build a harmonic economy, Binh Duong has focused on measures to properly, effectively exploit local potentials and advantages in a bid to accelerate the interaction. In addition, development of urban space and traffic system has created favorable conditions for transport of commodities. The provincial policy of investment incentive has contributed to lure participation of businesses, individuals and organizations into service field. At many meetings and conferences on planning and investment attraction, the provincial People's Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung constantly stressed important role of service as a spearhead sector full of potentials. Acceleration of service development will hasten process of economic transfer, job placement and the State budget increase and simultaneously be an impetus for other economic sectors to develop along. According to the set goal, the provincial economic development pace from now till 2015 will be at about 14% with the respectively density of 59%-38%-3% for industry-service-agriculture. To reach the goal, Binh Duong will in the coming time focus on exploiting advantages of geological position to build policies and measures in service for development of service field.
