Seven pairs of trains to be added during Tet holiday 2011

Seven pairs of trains numbered from TN3/4 to TN11/12, SE9/10, and TN19/20 will be added to meet growing travel demand during the lunar new year (Tet holiday) 2011, reported the Vietnam Railway Corporation.

 With this there will be 12 pairs of trains between the South and North of Vietnam, together with five pairs of trains numbered SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 and TN1/2.

 Before the Tet holiday, the Vinh – Saigon route will have one additional pair train numbered SE15/16 while another pair numbered SE11/12 will be added on the Hanoi – Nha Trang route. After the Tet holiday, the Dong Hoi – Saigon and the Vinh – Saigon route both will have one more pair of trains. During the Tet holiday, four pairs of trains numbered SE1/2, SE5/6, SE7/8 and TN17/TN18 will be put into operation on the South – North route.

 Together with more trains added on the routes, the local railway sector will connect more coaches and sell additional seats to provide more services for passengers.
