Singapore actively supports Binh Duong in implementing digital transformation, green and renewable energy

On October 25, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, received Jaya Ratnam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Vietnam, paying a visit to Binh Duong.

At the meeting, Jaya affirmed that Binh Duong and Singapore have made breakthroughs in cooperation and development, notably the construction of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) in Binh Duong and many other provinces and cities of Vietnam. This is a model industrial park applying a smart management approach, with new advanced technologies of as well as green and environmentally friendly technologies.

The Ambassador hopes that in the coming time, there would be more practical and meaningful activities between Binh Duong and Singapore. The Singaporean side will actively support Binh Duong in digital transformation and green and renewable energy conversion. The Ambassador said he will introduce many potential businesses to learn, invest and do business in Binh Duong, especially in the field of high technology; at the same time, continue to support and invest in developing high-quality human resources.

Minh said that Singapore currently ranks third among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong, with 289 projects, total capital of nearly US$5.4 billion. VSIP has become a model for concentrated industrial parks both domestically and internationally. The effectiveness and spreading of the VSIP brand is also a vivid testament to Binh Duong's dynamism, innovation, integration and development. Besides, Minh hopes that the Ambassador would continue to pay attention and introduce many potential Singaporean businesses to learn about investing in Binh Duong; support Binh Duong to develop green urban areas and train high-quality human resources to meet the development needs of the province and of investors.
