Early Oct.31, provincial People’s Council’s Committee for Cultural-Social Affairs, in collaboration with provincial General Hospital, provided free medical check-ups and medicine for more than 500 lonely elderly people and poor people in five communes and townships of Hieu Liem, Lac An, Tan My, Uyen Hung and Thuong Tan with a total expense of VND50mln (photo).

 

The same day, provincial People’s Council’s Committee for Cultural-Social Affairs, provincial Businesswomen’s Club and Que Huong Charity Center jointly donated 540 gifts worth VND150,000 each, including sugar, milk and instant noodle, to policy beneficiary families, the lonely elderly and the disabled in Tan Uyen district. All these gifts were contributed by donors in and out of the province.
