A meeting was organized on November 17 at My Dinh National Conference Hall to celebrate the 80th year of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee establishment on November 18, 1930.
In his speech, Huynh Dam – Chairman of the committee, has reviewed honorable legacy of the committee which was organized in harmony with leadership of the Party from stages to stages of history. The committee has been growing to be more sustainable, open and enhanced to gather more power from all public levels by righteous political policies and mottos, promoting unity of the people in era of Ho Chi Minh. He stressed on achievements of 80 years thanks to leadership of Vietnamese Communist Party.
Dam believed that in a new stage, the Party’s determination and Ho Chi Minh Ideology would be fostered by committees in the grassroots to play good role of connecting political and social organizations with the community.
He suggested that the committee should be organized in various propaganda movements to unite Vietnamese in the home land and oversea countries while promoting movements of “studying and following Ho Chi Minh moral examples”, patriotic emulation, and so on to enhance quality of movements.
Addressing the meeting, General Secretary Nong Duc Manh reviewed historical honors of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to praise up achievements and great contributions to development and advancement during the cause of national reforms, construction and defense.
He demanded authorities of all level to grasp up Ho Chi Minh Ideology to unite the people and promote movements and operations of the committee. On behalf of the State, General Secretary Nong Duc Manh called for unity of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to successfully achieve targets of constructing a socialism society and national defense.
At the meeting, President Nguyen Minh Triet granted Gold Star Decoration to Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for its great contribution to revolutionary cause.
