Provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Van Nam made the statement at a meeting on the local industrial sector’s implementation of tasks in the first quarter of 2014.

He also said: “The second quarter of 2014 is a seasonal transition period, so provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to attach special importance to preventing epidemic diseases, monitoring the capacity of reservoirs and dams…Besides, the Department also needs to speed up hi-tech application into agricultural production in the coming time”.

In the first three months of 2014, the province’s agricultural sector had considerable efforts. Epidemic diseases in poultry were quickly discovered and curbed. The sector also continued boosting models on agricultural promotion. The implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction was on smoothness. So far, the plans on new rural construction program of 32 out of 48 communes in the province have been approved…
