Strong relationship, effective cooperation

Japan is the leading economic partner of Vietnam, the largest ODA donor, the second largest investor, and the fourth largest trading partner of Vietnam.

Particularly for Binh Duong, Japan has more than 140 enterprises investing in over 320 projects with a total capital of nearly 6 billion USD, ranking second among 65 foreign countries and territories investing in Binh Duong province. In the spirit of expanding exchanges and cooperation, Japan has actively supported ODA capital as well as experience for Binh Duong to implement projects on water supply, drainage and wastewater treatment...

 Some large Japanese economic groups have now invested in Binh Duong, such as: Tokyu invests in urban and traffic infrastructure development; Aeon invests in commercial development; Mitsubishi invests in automobile industry; Toshiba, Foster produce electronic components… Particularly Yamaguchi province (Japan), nearly 10 years after establishing friendly cooperative relations with Binh Duong, the two localities actively carried out many exchange activities, strengthened friendly relations, expanded economic cooperation, investment, trade promotion...

In parallel with socio-economic development, Binh Duong has been always actively expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation in many fields and set high expectations from the friendly and cooperation relationship with Japan generally and Yamaguchi province particularly. In the coming time, Binh Duong will certainly continue to receive enthusiastic cooperation from the Yamaguchi provincial government; and wishes to keep strengthening the extensive and effective cooperation with this locality in some fields, like science and technology development, education - training, health, physical training and sports...
