Tan Uyen Town Youth Union holds Khmer ethnic youth festival

On April 16, Youth Union and Youth Federation of Tan Uyen city held a program of Khmer youth festival to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year 2023 at Banh Tu Dung lodging house in Uyen Hung ward. Nearly 200 young workers, who are Khmer ethnic people in three wards Uyen Hung, Khanh Binh and Tan Hiep, took part in the festival.

The festival had the following competitions: Decorate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay Tet offering tray; performance of traditional Khmer costumes; rituals; ethnic cultural exchange.

On this occasion, Provincial Committee of Youth Federation, grassroots Youth Union of MobiFone Binh Duong and Provincial Youth Pioneer Club presented 15 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to disadvantaged young workers.  The city's Fatherland Front Committee, Youth Union, and Youth Federation gave 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to young workers having difficult circumstances.
