TDM receives 1,640 blood units

On February 22, Thu Dau Mot city’s Red Cross Society and Hiep Thanh ward in collaboration with relevant units organized the 2023 volunteer blood donation festival for the community.

In order to organize the blood donation festival, the Red Cross Association, branches and mass organizations of Hiep Thanh ward and Thu Dau Mot city strengthened propaganda work through many information channels to mobilize volunteers for participation over the past few days. Thanks to that, the meaningful festival absorbed the participation of many cadres, civil servants and employees in Hiep Thanh ward in particular, Thu Dau Mot city in general.

As a result, the Organizing Board of the festival mobilized and collected 478 blood units, handed them over to Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center for preserving and continuing screening to serve treatment for patients in need of blood in the coming time. It is known that since early this year, Thu Dau Mot city’s Red Cross Society has mobilized and received 1,640 out of 3,500 blood units compared to the target assigned by the province in 2023.
