The 15th Vietnam IBM CSC International Volunteer Program in Binh Duong launched

On May 7, launching ceremony of the 15th Vietnam IBM CSC International Volunteer Program in Binh Duong took place at Thu Dau Mot University. Attending the ceremony were representatives of agencies and 14 international volunteers from IBM CSC of 12 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.

IBM CSC was one of IBM's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, launched in 2008 with the goal of building a globally competent leadership team that help solve socio-economic problems in developing markets. In Binh Duong, the following agencies and units were consulted and supported: Department of Health, Employment Service Center (Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs), Thu Dau Mot University, and IT - Archives of Natural Resources and Environment Center (Department of Natural Resources and Environment). The program was expected to last about 4 weeks. Throughout the program, IBM volunteers advised on the handling and extraction of large data from available sources; analyzing and forecasting job market in Binh Duong; intelligent university development strategy; to provide technical solutions for connection and extraction of output data at medical establishments; information on environmental resources ...

During four weeks, IBM international volunteers looked at the performance of units and make recommendations based on their actual needs. After the launching ceremony, the international volunteer team officially worked with these departments. This was the second program held in Binh Duong.
