Implementing the goal of developing high quality services in the spirit of Program No. 24-CTr / TU on August 16, 2016 of the Provincial Party Committee, in which the period 2016-2020 focuses on developing strong logistics services through Encouraging investment attraction and improving the competitiveness of enterprises operating in logistics services, Binh Duong has achieved good results. Mr. Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in the past years, the province has always created favorable conditions to encourage localities and enterprises to develop logistics services. In particular, the province paid special attention to the planning of synchronous investment and development of road, waterway and railway transport infrastructure systems capable of connecting between industrial parks and complexes of Binh Duong with the International river ports and seaports in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces, facilitating quick and convenient circulation of goods. In addition, provincial leaders have directed departments and agencies to improve administrative procedure reform, thereby creating positive changes, recognized by the business community.

In August 2016, Binh Duong Logistics Association was established, with the aim of gathering, uniting and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises providing logistics services in the province.

Accordingly, the association cooperates with relevant agencies to implement many activities of developing logsistics, focusing on developing human resources and planning to attract investment in construction of a number of logistics projects. key, urban development - services make the premise of building Binh Duong to become a first-class city and building a smart city. The Association strives to become an important link in the Southeast region's logistics services chain, closely linked with the major logistics centers of Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Synchronously developing the transport system

Currently, logistics business enterprises in the province are mainly concentrated in industrial zones and clusters, including business areas such as container transportation / leasing; building and leasing factories and warehouses; service of packing, labeling, collecting and distributing goods; shipping services ... Among these, it can be said that units providing logistics services level 2PL, 3PL such as Mapletree Logistics Co., Ltd. (Singapore), U&I and Cong Freight Forwarding Joint Stock Company Kerry Interrated Logistics Vietnam Co., Ltd, Southern Logistics Joint Stock Company ... Besides, in the province, there are also small warehouses located outside industrial parks and clusters invested by enterprises to re-lease with an area of ​​2,000 - 3,000m2.

In order to create a scientific connection system, synchronous with the provinces and cities in the southern key economic region, Binh Duong has implemented the detailed planning of inland wharf system until the year. 2020, vision to 2030 to promote the development of waterway traffic, accelerate the progress of key transportation projects, complete construction and put into operation important traffic routes that have a great influence on the economic development of the province. Along with that, in 2019 the Binh Loi railway bridge project and the renovation of the Saigon river channel were completed to create favorable conditions for the development of transport on the Saigon river route, goods from the northern industrial parks of The province is transported smoothly to the focal port, thereby cutting costs and reducing road load.

Besides, up to now, there are 2 operating ICDs in the province, namely Song Than ICD (area of ​​50 ha) and Di An Logistics Center (area of ​​100 ha). These two ICDs have complete infrastructure, modern loading and unloading equipment, providing 3PL logistics services with high quality full-service packages that meet the needs of businesses.

Maximize the advantage

Mr. Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in the period of 2019-2020, the province will focus on investing and developing synchronous hard and soft infrastructure for logistics in order to maximize the advantages of local location. strategic reason of the province.

Besides, the province will develop regional and international logistics centers, becoming an important link point in the logistics service chain of the Southeast region; bringing logistics to become a service industry that brings high added value in the structure of trade and service sectors of the province. The province strives to 2020, most logistics centers are capable of providing services at 3PL, 4PL levels and by 2030 to reach the level of 5PL.

In this period, the province continued to effectively mobilize all resources to promote investment in quality and large-scale logistics projects; training high-skilled human resources, applying modern information technology in the management and business capacity of competitiveness in the domestic and international markets. The province is also interested in completing the local state management mechanisms and policies in managing logistics service chains to ensure the level of logistics service development in parallel with the process of international economic integration. On the side of the Department of Industry and Trade, the provincial People's Committee proposed to develop urban logistics services in the context of building a smart city of Binh Duong.
