The whole family donates blood voluntarily

Happiness is a giving

Mrs.Hue has won excellent achievements in the provincial work of humanitarian blood donation. With 25 times of engaging in humanitarian blood donation, she said that the figure was still modest compared to the number of patients in need of blood.

 

Merit certificates of blood donation are obtained by Hue family’s members.

Born in the Mekong province of Ben Tre, she has chosen Binh Duong as her second homeland. She comes to humanitarian blood donation in An Phu ward as a fate. In 1999, she heard about blood donation for saving people in HCMC. She told “At that time, I thought about whether or not I had enough health to continue working after blood donation. If I were sick, who would take care of my children?”. After a long time, she registered to donate her blood. “Instead of giving money, I will donate my blood”, she said.

After that, her family moved to Binh Duong province’s An phu ward for a permanent settlement. At that time, the ward work of humanitarian blood donation was developed and she started becoming an excellent volunteer of the work. From 2000 and later, she has joined in communal and district blood donation campaigns. She shared “For me, happiness is not only obtainment but giving. Obtainment and giving have a common happiness. The happiness is a driving force helping me join in humanitarian blood donation”.

Aside from joining in humanitarian blood donation, she has mobilized her relatives to involve in. At present, her whole family has joined in the work. Tran Thi Oanh, her daughter has join in the work for 21 times. After getting marriage, Oanh has mobilized her husband to join in the work. And, her husband now has 20 certificates of blood donation.
