Over the past time, Thuan An town focused on building key works, making urban rejuvenation under criteria of a second-class city, thereby contributing to improving the local urban image.

So far, Thuan An town has approved its zoning plan of 9 wards and new-style rural plan of An Son commune. The town has also ratified a plan on rejuvenating 19 hectares of land in An Phu ward; said ok to 18 detail plans and 14 housing projects.

The town’s annual capital for social development has been increasing with socio-economic infrastructure continuing growing up. In the period of 2016-2018, the town’s total State budget for basic construction was more than VND1.16trillion or 46.5% of the target set out by the Resolution of the local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure. Till now, the town’s traffic infrastructure system has been expanded with favorable connectivity. The town also paid attention to building works on irrigation, power, water and upgrading urban areas, communes and wards along Saigon river, thereby contributing to promoting socio-economic development and improving people’s lives.

Along with State budget, the town has also boosted socialization in the fields of education, healthcare and sports via the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Therefore, the town has made strides in infrastructure for education, health and culture at people’s demand. Thuan An town was recognized as a third-class city. To reach criteria of a second-class city, the town will concentrate on constructing key works under the 2016-2020 mid-term public investment plan approved, especially its project on culture-sports center; set a project on the adjustment of the local master plan in line with socio-economic development…

Nguyen Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that the town will make investment under its mid-term public investment plan; continue mobilizing capital from socialization to build works in association with criteria of a second-class city. Particularly, the town will rejuvenate, upgrade streets with width of 7.5meters ensured; construct works on education, health, culture and sports under the mid-term public investment plan. The town will also further call for investment socialization with works in terms of education, healthcare, culture and sports to guarantee a criteria of reaching at least 4 square meters floor per person for public work land…

Also according to him, the town mobilized all resources for infrastructure systems under provincial Party Committee’s Program No.22-Ctr/TU dated August 15, 2016 on urban investment and development over the past time, making the local urban image change obviously. The town also well realized key works and urban rejuvenation ones of a second-class city towards civilization, beauty, prosperity and improvement of the quality of people’s lives.
