Thuan An supports fertilizer for 1,240 farmer households

Early Dec.28, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee held a conference to review the implementation of support policies to recover and develop the town’s orchards in the 2008 and 2012 period and orientations in the 2013 and 2016 period.

As many as 1,240 fruit-growing households in Thuan An town’s communes along with the Saigon river, including An Son, An Thanh, Hung Dinh and Binh Nham, received support of fertilizer with a total area of 429 hectares and a total expense of more than VND6bln from 2008 to 2012.

The town also focused on building key roads to well tap the local potentials. Particularly, the town’s communes and wards built 50 rural traffic roads with a total expense of more than VND79.5bln; built and upgraded 5 bridges with a total expense of more than VND6.9bln…

In the coming time, Thuan An town will further implement the Decision of provincial People’s Committee on promulgating policies to support and develop Binh Duong’s orchards between 2013 and 2016, focusing on taking synchronous measures on sci-tech transfer and infrastructure development to further preserve and uphold the potentials of the local orchards.
