Thuan An town youths bound for borders and islands

Thuan An town youth union grants solar energy system to soldiers of Dak O border post.


Showing love for homeland seas and islands, Thuan An town youths carry out many significant programs for people, cadres and soldiers who are living and working at border areas of the country.

Dak O border post in Dak O commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province is the borthership unit with Thuan An town youth union.

Annually, Thuan An town youth union holds gift visits to soldiers of the border post. In gift visit of this year, the town youth union granted a youth work of solar energy system and 100 national flags to soldiers of the border post; 2,000 notebooks and learning aids to students of primary schools of Dinh Bo Linh and Truong Dinh in the commune.

Besides, Thuan An town young doctor’s club paid health check-up visits and gift visits to 100 people in Dak O commune with the total value of VND20mil.

In the past year, Thuan An town youth union held many programs bounding for seas and islands at Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan province. The youth union paid gift visits to needy privileged families and cooperated with the provincial Youth Union to donate 50 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils with the total value of more than VND43mil.

Moreover, the union paid exchange with cardes, youths and unionists working at Phu Quy district youth union. Especially, the union’s youths learnt about life of local residents and exchanged culture and sport with cadres and soldiers of Phu Quy district Military Headquarters and Phu Quy port gateway border post.

Pham Thi Thanh Phuong, cadre of Thuan An town youth union shared “The visit and working program at the island brought every member feelings of country, sea and island love. We feel spirit, energy of the island’s people and soldiers. Meetings and exchanges with cadres, soldiers and people on this island left strong impression on members”.

Aside from these programs, the town youth union in cooperation with Thuan An town division of Education and Training implemented a work named “Vietnamese seas and islands in my heart” to disseminate Vietnamese ancient map across 31 primary, secondary and high schools across the province and program themed “Volunteer white shirt – for seas and islands” to subscribe white shirts, notebooks and learning aids and national flags for needy pupils in border and island areas.

Ngo Tien Dat, secretary of Thuan An town youth union said “through programs eyeing borders and seas and islands, Thuan An town youth union’s members wish to share difficulties with soldiers and people in seas, islands and border areas. This is a significant activity to disseminate and educate about thought for young generation”.
