On January 22, North Tan Uyen District People's Committee held a ceremony to announce Resolution of provincial National Assembly's Standing Committee on the establishment of Tan Binh town. Attending were Vo Van Ba, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Internal Affairs Committee; Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

According to the Resolution, Tan Binh town has a total natural land area of 28,93km2. In terms of structure and level of socio-economic development, Tan Binh has exceeded all indexes specified in Resolution 1211/2016 of the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee. Tan Binh met 4/4 standards as prescribed by law. In 2020 alone, budget revenue reached more than 19 billion VND, the average income per capita is now more than 66 million VND / person / year; Non-agricultural labor rate accounts for 68.69% total workforce of the commune. 100% households in the commune have electricity and clean water. The whole commune has only 3 poor households according to multi-dimensional standards of the province; and 27 near-poor households, accounting for 1.42%.

The establishment of Tan Binh town in North Tan Uyen district is necessary, in line with provincial master plan on socio-economic development and the general planning of Tan Binh urban area, meeting people's aspirations.
