In order to bring to all children, especially poor and disadvantaged children, and children in remote areas the joyful atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, every year agencies, organizations, unions, local bodies and localities in the province organize many practical and meaningful activities.
In harmony with the joyful atmosphere of the whole country in happy Mid-Autumn Festival activities, the authorities, mass organizations, social organizations, and schools at all levels in Binh Duong province have organized many activities to take care of the children. For this year, the provincial Mid-Autumn Festival is held on September 9 (which will be on the 14th day of the 8th lunar month) in Ben Cat town; district and commune will be holding the festival from September 3 to September 10.
For children, Mid-Autumn Festival is the most anticipated of the year when they clearly sense the love of family and society through gifts, toys, lanterns, candies, and playing in the open air. Therefore, the provincial Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs sector has planned to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for children; at the same time, actively mobilize socialization to increase resources to give gifts, award scholarships, sponsor poor children and children in extremely difficult circumstances.
Many fun and meaningful activities will be brought to children across the province by departments, agencies and localities on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Talking to us, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said that the Mid-Autumn Festival festival at the provincial level in 2022 will be held at the Workers' Cultural Center in Ben Cat Town in the evening of September 9 to include interesting and meaningful activities like contest of making beautiful lanterns, lion and dragon performance, children's art, reading the President Ho Chi Minh's letter, procession of lanterns, and giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children having difficult circumstances among others.
For children from poor households and children in extremely difficult circumstances, the locality will coordinate with agencies and mass organizations to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival for them; the also organize delegations to visit and give gifts in the Mid-Autumn Festival to children. Currently, the province has 40 clubs of "Children with HIV/AIDS prevention and control" in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Ben Cat town and Tan Uyen town were offer each VND 5 million to organize Mid-Autumn Festival fun activities and give gifts to children participating in activities. In addition, the Division of Child Protection and Gender Equality under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the Department of Social Protection under the department and the provincial Children's Protection Fund to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival, visit and give gifts to children in the centers, Social Protection Center and children from poor households and children in extremely difficult circumstances.
Also in the morning of September 9, at the provincial Exhibition and Convention Center, the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsoring Council, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with other departments, agencies, mass organizations, Radio - Television Binh Duong Station organizes the live broadcast of the event to be attended by 1,035 students who overcome difficulties and study well. They will also grant scholarships by the Sponsoring Council of the provincial Children's Fund for the academic year of 2022-2023, to children with extremely difficult circumstances in 9 districts, towns and cities, to children at Social Protection Centers, and provincial Association of the Blind. At the event, the Organizing Committee will give the school-going scholarships, computers, bicycles and Mid-Autumn gifts to the children.
