Over 25 years of construction and development, Binh Duong today is proud of its achievements in socio-economic fields. Binh Duong is still changing constantly. In addition to accelerating infrastructure construction, improving the investment environment, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to produce and do business, the construction and development of a system of industrial parks (IPs) always receive the attention and a lot of resources of Binh Duong Province. In order to further stimulate industrial development in the 2021-2025 period, Binh Duong is strengthening the land fund for industrial park development to promptly catch a new wave of investment.

Modern and synchronous infrastructure
Bau Bang district is a new district of Binh Duong but is dramatically changing its appearance. Bau Bang, Cay Truong, Lai Hung and Tan Binh IPs were invested, completed and put into operation, helping Bau Bang become a locality with a strongly developing industry.
There are few localities in the country that own as many industrial zones as Binh Duong. Being known as "the industrial capital of the South", Binh Duong is one of the localities with the strongest developing industry in the country. Those who have been with Binh Duong for a long time can see the obvious change of this land. Binh Duong is now becoming one of the leading major economic centers and a bright spot in investment attraction of the whole country.
Gricha Safarian, General Director of Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam Company (VSIP 1), said: “As one of the first FDI enterprises to invest in Binh Duong as VSIP 1 was just formed, I see the obvious change of Binh Duong day by day. Along with other socio-economic achievements, the province's industry has grown tremendously and is determined to continue to be a key industry of the economy. In addition to promoting infrastructure construction, drastically improving the investment environment, creating favorable conditions for production and business enterprises, domestic and foreign investment capital has flowed strongly into the province. Binh Duong is proud of a strong and sustainable commodity manufacturing industry.
According to Nguyen Thanh Trung, Acting Head of Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks, in the process of economic development, Binh Duong has well implemented incentive regimes to attract investors and always take industry as a breakthrough foundation, the core of which is building infrastructure of industrial zones. The policy of building industrial zones to create a driving force for development is the right and timely innovation thinking of the province. It was the establishment of IPs that helped the province's industry made breakthrough, created a foundation for trade - service and urban development. The province's industrial zones, with synchronous and modern infrastructure, and convenient geographical locations, have attracted many large enterprises and multinational corporations.
Towards a new industrial ecosystem
In mid-August, despite bad weather, workers of the VSIP 3 project hurried to work day and night in order for the land allocation to investors to be on schedule. According to VSIP Venture Company, the construction units are urgently leveling the ground and executing the construction of some main roads into the IP. According to the plan, by August 31, VSIP will hand over about 24 hectares of land, and on September 30 will hand over the remaining 20 hectares to LEGO Group to build a factory in Binh Duong with a total investment of more than $1.3 billion.
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee approved the 1/2000 detailed planning of VSIP 3, based on the approved 1/5000 construction master plan. Accordingly, VSIP 3 (phase 1) is a multi-industry concentrated production industrial zone, in which priority is given to high-tech industries. This is an area associated with the service and management center of the whole industrial park, and connects with the DT746 external traffic axis, prioritizes construction in the immediate period to attract potential investors. Although VSIP 3 has just started construction, there are now more than 30 corporations and companies interested in developing production here, equivalent to 175ha of industrial land.
Currently, industrial parks in the province are also aiming to attract investment to achieve sustainable development. The establishment of VSIP 3 is also a way of declaring the determination to build a new industrial ecosystem - an industrial - high-tech ecosystem, which is qualitatively different from the old industrial ecosystem that used to be developed in Binh Duong with VSIP 1 and 2 generations.
Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC, said that in order to attract FDI enterprises to make long-term commitment to Binh Duong, Becamex IDC is completing many industrial zones such as: Bau Bang, Cay Truong, VSIP 3… to diversify and best serve the needs of investors. When these IPs come into operation, Binh Duong will prioritize high-tech industries and select less labor-intensive ones. In addition, Becamex IDC continues to upgrade and complete important traffic routes, such as National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van, DT743 highway and many other ones to enhance connectivity not only within the region but also connect flexibly to the outside, to the southern key economic region.
According to Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks, by 2025, with a vision until 2030, Binh Duong aims to develop sustainable industrial zones according to the "3 in 1" model (industrial park - urban area - service area) with a system synchronous and modern technical and social infrastructure system. Therefore, Binh Duong has formed many incentives and policies to support investors in industrial zones; at the same time, actively support and solve difficulties and obstacles in legal procedures on land for secondary investors in industrial zones.
Compared to the whole country, Binh Duong currently accounts for 9% in quantity and 13% in industrial zone area. Up to now, the province has established 29 industrial zones, with a total planning area of over 12,700 hectares. There are 27 IPs that have been put into operation with a total area of 10,624.66 hectares, the IPs have leased over 6,836 hectares, the occupancy rate is 90%. Two IPs under construction are VSIP 3 and Cay Truong with a total land area of 1,700ha. In addition, other industrial zones are carrying out expansion procedures such as Rach Bap, Nam Tan Uyen... Currently, industrial zones in the province have attracted 3,021 valid projects, including 2,347 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 28 billion USD and 674 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of 87,796 billion VND.
