To continue effectively implementing the smart city project

 Provincial Department of Science and Technology informed that over the first nine months of 2021, the department sped up science and technology activities. Accordingly, the agency improved the process of appraising theses - projects, popularised scientific and technological research orientations associated with practice; strengthened government - institute - business connection; approved 10 theses; appraised and signed contracts for 5 provincial-level theses and projects; handed over research results of 1 thesis; applied 1 national-level project in the province.

The Department of Science and Technology also established 3 new science and technology organizations and transferred technologies to 8 firms; guided 4 firms in Binh Duong to participate and win 1 gold prize, 3 national quality prizes 2019-2020...

For the implementation of the smart city project, the department advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the provincial smart city plan in 2021. Over the first nine months of 2021, Binh Duong Smart Region was recognized by the world's Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) as one of the Top 7 communities having model intelligent development strategies in the world after three consecutive years being in the Top 21 list (Smart 21).
