Trade and service value gains high growth

According to Provincial People's Committee, over the first two months of the year, the value of trade and services throughout the province had a high growth rate. In February 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue was estimated to reach VND 28,469 billion, up 1% compared to the previous month. Accumulated for two months, reaching 56,654 billion VND, up 15.7% over the same period last year. The average consumer price index in February increased by 0.72% compared to the previous month, the cumulative increase of two months was 2.48% year-on-year.

Trade and service is forecast to have high growth in the coming months when workers return to factories in large numbers. In February, businesses needed to recruit more than 5,500 workers. After the Tet holiday, workers returned to work stably, over 94% compared to before.
