Nguyen Thanh Liem grants merit certificates to excellent individuals.
On Jan. 9, the provincial Labor Union held the 7th executive board conference (term IX) to review trade union operation in 2014 and set out orientations and tasks for 2015. Mai Duc Chinh, vice chairman of Vietnam General Department of Labor, Nguyen Thanh Liem, head of the provincial Mass Mobilization Committee attended the conference.
In the past year, the entire province solved jobs for more than 46,000 people, lifting the total workers working at companies up to over 895,000. Dissemination work was constantly paid by all levels.
In addition, all level branches mobilized to set up 229 grassroot trade unions, winning 112% of their plans; admitted 70,406 new members, reaching 290% of their plans. In 2015, the provincial Labor Union continues to spur implementation of democratic regulation at agencies, units, enterprises; launch regulations of regional minimum wage levels; effective implement building of harmonic labor relation at companies and more.
Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thanh Liem highly appreciated results done by all level trade unions and stressed that the all level trade unions should in the coming time renovate content and operational form to protect laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. Accordingly, these unions should pay more attention to disseminating the Party and State’s policies and instructions to laborers; focus on solving laborers’ problems such as cultural house, kindergartens and more.
