In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021 and the first 6 months of 2022, provincial science and technology industry still reached outstanding results with the number of scientific research projects increasing by 300% compared to the previous period. These projects, namely “Research on logistics issues in Binh Duong”; “Smart village in Phu Giao district with a tourism model associated with high-tech agriculture”; “Enhancement of corporate social responsibility to welcome EVFTA”…, closely followed the local key program on socio-economic development with breakthroughs. At the same time, provincial Department of Science and Technology has always accompanied, supported and created favorable conditions for production and business activities of enterprises through such support programs as science-technology market development, intellectual property protection, innovation of measurement for international integration.

Mr. Dat spoke highly of Binh Duong when being one of 20 provinces and cities registering to participate in the implementation of the provincial innovation index developed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. He also said that the National Assembly has just passed the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law, so the province needs to research, propagandize and deploy to ensure the rights and interests of people and businesses. In addition, the province's science and technology industry needs to further uphold its advantages, promote research and application transfer, and create a driving force for the province to successfully build a digital government and smart city in the coming time.
