Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the efforts of Di An city in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic over the past time as well as the focus on vaccination with the 3rd dose of vaccines for people in the locality. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee said that Di An city is one of the areas with a large number of residents, so ensuring the people's health is a top task. To do so, in addition to epidemic prevention and control measures, the city needs to increase vaccination against COVID-19. Mr. Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated Binh An ward for having many initiatives in vaccination such as establishing a professional data entry team, updating data immediately when people have finished vaccination, ensuring both accuracy and rate for input backlog. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee also praised the leaders of Binh An ward for organizing night injections for those who could not arrange the time to come and inject during the day.

Before the flexible and creative approach of Binh An ward and some places in the city, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked Di An city to direct more drastically in the 3rd dose injection for people. “Injection should be continuously by every day of the week and even at night. The campaign is to be non-stop. Drawbacks must be promptly reported to the superiors for immediate resolution. The Party Secretary and the ward Chairman must be more drastic, not assigning the vaccination organization to the head of the health station," Mr. Nguyen Van Loi noted. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee requested to thoroughly grasp the motto of "Going to each alley and knocking from house to house along with checking every person" to vaccinate for ensuring that all people receive the 3rd dose of vaccines, contributing to the protection of people's health and maintenance of socio-economic development activities of the city and the province.

Determined for green zone maintenance

In the afternoon of the same day, the provincial delegation came to inspect the vaccination in Phu Giao district. This is one of the localities that soon became a "green zone" during the 4th wave of COVID-19 epidemic taking place in mid-2021. According to the report of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control in Phu Giao district, up to now, the district has administered the first dose of vaccines to people over 18 years old, reaching nearly 100% of the population, the second dose of over 95% and the third dose over 74%. Currently, the district is reviewing the number of people who have not received the 3rd dose to have a vaccination plan in the coming days. District leaders said that after the Lunar New Year, due to subjective psychology, the epidemic situation in the area tends to increase, especially the infections at schools. Many people are still subjective and neglectful because they think they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loi said that the COVID-19 epidemic with the Omicron variant spread very quickly. Therefore, localities must not be subjective or neglectful in disease prevention and control. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked Phu Giao district to continue injecting people with 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, ensuring it to be completed before March 20. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked the district to maintain the "green zone", and at the same time, prepare the conditions for vaccination on children aged 5-11 and the 4th dose injection when directed from the government.

Checking the situation of vaccination against COVID-19 in Bac Tan Uyen district, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked the locality to prioritize to speed up the progress of the 3rd dose vaccination for people to reach 100% of the population before March 20. In addition, the district must reactivate the disease prevention and control system from the district to the grassroots, and organize the promotion of propaganda. "Try and then we need to try harder with determination and then we need to be more determined for maintaining the "green zone", contributing to ensuring socio-economic development in the coming time," Mr. Nguyen Van. Loi emphasized.
