The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) launched an online scheme to select the nation’s top 10 Information and Communication Technology Companies this year in Hanoi on August 26.
According to a VINASA representative, the programme will select the top 10 Vietnamese Information and Communication Technology (ICT) businesses operating across 15 fields including software export, IT services, business process outsourcing, finance and banking technologies, e-government solutions, start-ups, digital content, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, digital marketing, IT solutions suitable for smart cities.
Each of the participating firms are required to undergo three rounds, while only enterprises operating for more than three years with a turnover of US$1 million, are eligible to participate in the scheme.
The programme is expected to receive submissions between now and September 25, with the evaluation and voting schedule expected to last for over a month.
The scheme is held with the aim of responding to guidelines set out under the Prime Minister's Directive No. 01 on promoting the development of digital technology enterprises nationally, under which the country aims to have at least 100,000 digital technology enterprises in order to develop a digital economy by 2030.
The event has been annually held by VINASA since 2014.
