To destroy 1,910 kg of poor-quality animal products

During the first months of 2020, the production of crops, livestock in Ben Cat Town was stable. Avian influenza, FMD, rabies on livestock and cattle, and diseases on aquatic animals did not occur. Ben Cat Town gave 146,759 vaccination doses to cattle, poultry and domestic animals, reached 50.6% of the plan; and well implemented the animal slaughter control, with a result of 53,293 animals (down 15.1% over the same period last year, reaching 46.9% of the plan).

In addition, the town performed inspection of plant and animal production facilities as planned; carried out the plan to guarantee agricultural food safety conditions, especially to check the veterinary hygiene conditions of slaughterhouses and business households in the district. The inspection detected and fined 89 violations with the total penalty amount of over 529 million VND and destroyed 1,910 kg of substandard animal products.
