“Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign acts as a bridge between Vietnamese goods and customers

After more than one year of implementing the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign, domestic producers have constantly improved the quality and pattern of products to gain customers’ faith. Concerned agencies from central to local levels have set up a lot of programs bringing Vietnamese goods to customers, especially those living in rural areas. One of the programs bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside effectively done over the past time was the organization of trade fairs introducing Vietnamese goods.

 Following the success of the “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods” trade fair held in Phu Giao at the end of October, Xuan Chinh Co.Ltd. in HCM city’s Thu Duc district worked with Ben Cat district’s Cultural-Sports Center to kick off such a trade fair in the center of Ben Cat district from Nov.3 to 9. This was the biggest of its kind with nearly 100 booths showcasing cosmetics, garment-textile, footwear, electronics, household appliances, foodstuff and many other essential products from 60 businesses in and out of the province.

 

According to the assessment of customers at the trade fair, Vietnam-made goods have created positive improvement, especially in design with reasonable prices. At the trade fair, all products had their own promotion programs for customers. Apart from introducing and selling products, businesses sought partners and distributors to promote their production and trading activities. This was also the chance for the local customers to get access and know more about Vietnamese goods.

 Le Thanh Ngoan, from Hoang Gia Co., said his company’s daily turnover at the trade fair was between VND7mln and VND8mln. In addition to the turnover, one of the satisfactory things for his company was that the local customers visited and minutely learnt about the products of the company as well as the products of other businesses at the trade fair”, said Mr.Ngoan.

 To achieve the above success, the organizing board of the trade fair made efforts in selecting participating businesses and arranging their booths. Along with many promotion programs launched by participating businesses, the organizing board organized lucky draw with valuable prizes for the local visitors. Coming to the trade fair, the local visitors also had the chance to enjoy nightly music shows with performance of famous singers from HCM city.

Phan Thi Hong Ngoc, from Xuan Chinh Co.Ltd., said that thanks to the support of provincial Department of Industry and Trade and Ben Cat district’s People’s Committee, this trade fair was well organized, absorbing the crowds of the local people for shopping. On average, it drew 4,500 or 5,000 local visitors for shopping every day.

 It is obviously that the “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods” trade fair has acted as a bridge between customers and Vietnamese goods. This is also a channel to promote Vietnamese goods in the countryside, contributing to effectively realizing the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign.
