Vietnamese students: “Strong identity - Rich in aspirations - Creating the future - Building the country”

The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association, term 2023-2028, has been successfully held in Hanoi. Binh Duong had 16 delegates attending, of which 2 delegates were negotiated to participate in the new Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.

The Binh Duong Provincial Student Delegation attended the 11th National Congress of the Vietnamese Student Association, term 2023-2028, in Hanoi.

Determine goals and tasks

With the slogan "Vietnamese students: Strong identity - Rich in aspirations - Creating the future - Building the country", the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association, term 2023-2028, had the participation of nearly 700 delegates from 30 Vietnamese Student Associations of provinces and cities; 39 Vietnamese Student Associations of centrally run schools, and 13 Vietnamese Student Associations abroad. During 2.5 days and 4 working sessions, the congress focused on discussing, giving opinions and voting on three main contents: summarizing and evaluating the association's work and student movements for the 2018-2023 term; identifying goals, tasks, solutions for association work and student movements for the 2023-2028 term; negotiating to elect the Executive Committee and Central Inspection Committee of the 11th Vietnam Student Association. These will be important directions and decisions for the development of the association and Vietnamese student movement in the next five years (2023-2028).

At the congress, Binh Duong had 2 delegates who were negotiated to join the Central Executive Committee of the 11th Vietnam Student Association, tenure 2023-2028, namely Le Tuan Anh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnamese Student Association; and Le Viet Hung, Standing Vice Chairman of Student Association of Thu Dau Mot University.

Le Tuan Anh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Student Association, said: “As attending the congress, members of the Binh Duong Student Delegation promoted their intelligence to participate in discussions at forums; focused on listening and comprehending information about the association's work and student movement of the whole country in the 2023-2028 term; From there, we will implement major directives of this congress for the association work and student movement of Binh Duong province."

Many celebrating activities

 Welcoming the 11th National Congress of the Vietnamese Student Association, the Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee and the Provincial Vietnamese Student Association’s Secretariat have carried out exhilarating activities among students. An example is the 4th "Student Singing Competition" in Binh Duong province hosted by the Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association in coordination with Provincial Department of Education and Training and Binh Duong University of Economics - Engineering from November to December 2023. The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Student Association also organized a program "Professional skill training, trips, practical experience" in Ben Tre province for 100 officials of Youth Unions and Student Associations of universities and colleges; a journey to connect excellent students, "5-good students" with communities, agencies, and businesses; popularized the congress identity design on social networking platforms...

Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association also held a meeting between the provincial leaders and the delegation attending the National Student Association Congress to report on outstanding activities of Provincial Student Association to provincial leaders; gave opinions on the presentation report "Developing and improving the quality of human resources, meeting the requirements of building Binh Duong for sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern urban area"...

After the congress, the Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee and the Provincial Vietnamese Student Association’s Secretariat will do a series of activities to celebrate the success of the congress and celebrate the Traditional Day of Students (January 9). Namely, the Provincial Student Association will coordinate with People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City to organize "Binh Duong Student Week" in 2024 from January 5 to 9, 2024 at Thu Dau Mot City park. The week will have activities such as cooperating with Tre Publishing House to organize a youth book fair; health, career, and study consulting activities for students; a program to celebrate the 74th Anniversary of Students’ Traditional Day, Vietnamese Student Association, the 14th Anniversary of Vietnamese Student Association of Binh Duong Province; a ceremony to commend "5-good students", "January Star" and Doan Thi Lien award; High school student festival, commendation of "3-good students"...

The week will also include a "Festival for excellent students" and commendation and awarding of scholarships given by study promotion fund; giving Tet gifts to students having difficult circumstances; "Healthy Youth" running tournament in 2024 and cultural and artistic activities for students...
