From May 5 to 12, the program of watermelon buying to support farmers has been initiated and on sales at the site of former Youth’s League venue (now the venue of Volunteer Youths) on DT743 Street of Phu Hoa Ward in Thu Dau Mot City. The watermelons are transported from Quang Ngai as local farmers entrusted the youths in Binh Duong Province to sell on their behalf.

Approximately 6 to 7 tons of watermelons are on sales at VND 7,000 a kilogram. The price includes VND 1,000 to donate to earthquake victims in Nepal and VND 6,000 to be returned to farmers in Quang Ngai Province.
