“When drinking water, remember its source” activities

To mark the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), the 71st anniversary of August Revolution (August 19), Di An town’s Library has just held 5 shows on mobile book propaganda with the theme of “when drinking water, remembering its source” at town-based primary and secondary schools.

With special items, they aimed to educate the local pupils about the moral principle of “when drinking water, remember its source”, paying tribute to those who laid down their lives for national peace…

*Nguyen Anh Dung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tan Long commune in Phu Giao district said that the communal People’s Committee will organize a get-together and donate 46 gifts worth VND300,000 each to policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 24 ahead.

*The People’s Committee of Tan Phuoc Khanh ward in Tan Uyen town has just held a get-together, presented 180 gifts worth VND210,000 each to the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors.

On this occasion, the ward’s Red Cross Society also donated 10 gifts worth VND500,000 each to policy beneficiaries; coordinated with young physicians to provide free medical check-ups and gifts for 200 policy beneficiaries with a total cost of VND40million…The above activities expressed deep gratitude of young generation today to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors.

*Ngo Thoi Nhiem high school in TDM city yesterday visited and donated gifts to a heroic Vietnamese mother and a war invalid with difficult circumstances in Hoa Phu ward.

In the last academic year, the school also took its pupils to the local historical cultural relic sites, aiming to educate them about the moral principal of “when drinking water, remember its source”. The school is also expected to pay a visit to provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.
