Women's Association Tan Uyen Town join hands to care for women members

Determining the grassroots as the constant foundation, the Women's Association at all levels of Tan Uyen town has, over the past time, focused on activities towards the grassroots by doing well the task of representing and protecting rights, equality, democracy, women's legitimate interests, solidarity, gathering, propaganda, education, advocacy and guidance for women to implement the CPV’s guidelines, policies, and laws of the State.

The stronghold

To ensure the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the 2022 military recruitment camp in Tan Uyen town was held briefly but still with warmth. In particular, the impressive activity was the contest of "Warm meals for soldiers". Participating in the contest was 12 units of officers and women members of communes and wards, young people recruited for military service and the families of them from communes and wards. All gathered together to make everyone feel warm at heart.

Ms. Duong Ngoc Hang Nga, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan Uyen town, said that the contest aimed to create a useful playground for units to interact; thereby, showing the interest of the Party Committee, the authority and the people in general and the town's women officers and members in particular to the elected youth members, contributing to the fulfillment of the annual target of military assignment in 2022.

Not stopping at this contest, before that, all levels of the Women's Union of Tan Uyen town actively coordinated with departments and organizations to propagate widely through activities, branches and organizations. The association had integrated propaganda to the people, especially families with children of military servicing age, and about the Law on Military Service; thereby, contributing to raise awareness for the cause of national defense among local youths.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Tiger in 2022, the Women's Unions at all levels actively participated in delegations to organize visits to encourage young people and their families to rest in peace of mind, and to identify well the task of performing military services. In particular, the association's staff closely grasped the situation, feelings and emotions of young mothers in the field of enlistment. Many women whose children have enlisted in the army are deeply aware that joining the military service is a noble task of young people and encourage their children to enthusiastically go on to complete the missions.

According to Ms. Nga, in 2021, although the COVID-19 epidemic has had a strong impact on all aspects of social life, the town's Women's Association at all levels have promoted the strength of solidarity and initiatives, flexibility and creativity in the organization and implementation of emulation movements, campaigns and tasks of the association to achieve the set results. The Association regularly promotes propaganda, advocacy and political and ideological education for officials and members; organizes many practical and exciting emulation movements and activities in accordance with the women's thoughts and aspirations; well implements the emulation movement of "Women actively study and work creatively to build happy families" and the key tasks of the association.

To the grassroots

Ms. Duong Ngoc Hang Nga said that promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Women's Association of Tan Uyen town will continue to propagate and mobilize women's cadres and members to realize "dual goals" of preventing and combating the COVID-19 epidemic while making good use of opportunities along with efforts to contribute to socio-economic recovery and development in the "new normal".

The Association innovates the content and form of activities towards the grassroots, especially in mobilizing and gathering women to participate in women's groups and clubs, thereby, helping them to strive to overcome difficulties and rise in life. Specifically, the association continues to effectively implement the emulation movement of “Women actively study and work creatively to build happy families", the campaign to build "5 zero 3 clean" families associated with the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style", the movement of "Joining hands to build new countryside and cultural city" associated with mobilizing women to strive for training 4 qualities of "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Courage", contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the locality.

At the same time, the association further promoted the mobilization and organization of activities to attract and gather more and more women to voluntarily participate in the association's activities; continue to pay attention to and take care of the material and spiritual life of women cadres and members in order to show the role of caring for and protecting women's legitimate rights and interests.

In 2021, the Women's Union of Tan Uyen town promptly deployed the guiding documents on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic of the Party Committee, the authority and the superior associations in many creative, effective, and positive ways with the imprint of women who have been contributing positively to the overall development of the town.
