2022 marked a year full of the efforts by Binh Duong in recovering the local economy. In particular, the province promoted investment in the construction of traffic infrastructure projects connecting the region, creating a breakthrough for rapid and sustainable development, building infrastructure of new-generation industrial parks, promoting digital economy, green economy, circular economy in order to create a new development space.
Regional connectivity expanded
In 2022, the province accelerated the progress of compensation and clearance, the progress of construction of traffic infrastructure works, including Bach Dang 2 bridge, North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial street, Thu Bien - Dat Cuoc street, belt street 3... Many projects to develop traffic infrastructure, expanding regional connectivity of the province, including carrying out the expanded National Highway 13 project, inaugurating and putting the Song Than overpass (550 intersection), the work on road and bridge connecting Binh Duong and Tay Ninh provinces into use... were urgently constructed. These are key works, creating regional and regional connections with breakthrough for the local rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

National Highway 13 is the arterial route connecting Ho Chi Minh city - the economic and cultural center of the whole country with the Southeastern and Central Highlands provinces. Evaluating the role and significance of this work, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation said: "The implementation of the project upgrading National Highway 13 aims at further creating a "technical framework" for the local socio-economic development, thereby meeting two big goals that are to relieve traffic pressure on the route and prepare for urban development. The project contributes to building Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city with great pervasion, strongly impacting on neighboring provinces and cities.
At the inaugural ceremony of the work on road and bridge connecting Binh Duong and Tay Ninh provinces, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee said: “The project coming into operation will not only help shorten the travel distance between the two provinces, but also help transport goods and materials of the whole Southeast region quickly, save costs and connect more conveniently with Long Thanh airport, Cai Mep Thi Vai port, belt roads 3, 4 in Ho Chi Minh city, Ho Chi Minh road…”.
Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee said that in order to implement the projects, the province requires total mobilization of the local political system and the people. In the process of directing compensation and clearance, the province will take careful and thoughtful steps to create a great consensus among the people and mass organizations. The province will also create conditions for investors as well as units to coordinate to complete projects on schedule.
Building new-generation industrial ecosystem
In order to further develop industrial manufacture, attract investment and promote sustainable economic growth, Binh Duong is strengthening the development of green and smart industrial parks (IPs). In March 2022, VSIP Group held the groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP III with 1,000 hectares in Tan Uyen town and North Tan Uyen district.
With a strategic vision, VSIP III is designed to integrate smart technology in its activities from the use of energy, water, waste to traffic management and security. In particular, investor of VSIP III also spent 50 hectares as an on-site solar farm, bringing reliability and sustainable benefit in terms of power supply to major clients here.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of VSIP III, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee believed that VSIP III will soon be inaugurated and put into operation on schedule, forming up a favorable environment for investors in Binh Duong and the southern key economic region. The province’s government is committed to creating the best conditions for domestic and foreign businesses during the investment process here.
