Workshop on improving the quality and efficiency of Journalists' Associations held

On July 21, at Binh Duong Newspaper, the Emulation Cluster of Journalists' unions of Southeastern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City organized a workshop themed "Improving the quality and efficiency of Journalists' Associations".

The workshop had the participation of Tran Trong Dung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South; and representatives of Journalists’ Associations of Southeastern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. 

At the workshop, representatives of Journalists’ Associations gave presentations on diverse topics covering many aspects, offering many solutions such as: cooperation with press agencies to produce press works for competitions; improving qualifications and professional training for members; improving the quality and efficiency of Journalists' Associations; experience in gathering and connecting press agencies in the area...

Speaking at the workshop, Tran Trong Dung appreciated the dynamism and creativity of Journalists Associations in southern localities in recent years. He said Ho Chi Minh City and Southeastern provinces had great strengths in regional linkages, hence communication links were in need. This is the central area of the press of the country, it is necessary to take advantage to raise the status and role of Journalists' Associations.

Dung also emphasized that the Vietnam Journalists Association would always accompany and serve as a linkman to support Journalists' Associations to organize many intensive training sessions for members, and more regional press awards...
