Speaking at the workshop, Tran Trong Dung appreciated the dynamism and creativity of Journalists Associations in southern localities in recent years. He said Ho Chi Minh City and Southeastern provinces had great strengths in regional linkages, hence communication links were in need. This is the central area of the press of the country, it is necessary to take advantage to raise the status and role of Journalists' Associations.
