In the excitement of youth to welcome Youth Union congresses at all levels, yesterday (February 27), provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held a program to launch the Youth Month and the "Eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho" tree-planting festival 2022 at Cay Dau park in Di An city’s Di An ward. The Youth Month 2022 will continue upholding the role of the local Youth Union, contributing youth’s strength to homeland construction.
Practical works
The ceremony to launch works, activities during the Youth Union 2022 took place with the voluntary spirit of young people taking part in activities that bring benefits to the locality. With the theme of "Creative Youth", this year’s Youth Month will create an exciting patriotic emulation movement in all fields of labor, production, study and training in celebration of the 91st founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2022), Youth Unions at all levels towards the 11th provincial Youth Unions Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure.
Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launches works, deeds and targets set out during the Youth Month 2022
Tran Bao Lam, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: “This year's Youth Month is determined with the goal of arousing the pride about the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The event also aims at promoting youth volunteers to take part in homeland construction, renewing methods for voluntary activities and strengthening regular and on-site voluntary activities...This continues to be an opportunity for Binh Duong’s youth to show their will of being unafraid of difficulties and bravely take part in voluntary activities for the sake of the community. In response to the Youth Month 2022, youth volunteer squads from provincial Youth Unions at all levels will jointly carry out practical actions to complete 13 targets, 5 works and deeds set out…”.
With the above spirit, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee started the Youth Month 2022 in Di An city with such significant activities as awarding 10 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils; donating a playground for children; giving dream rooms for young workers; propagandizing Covid-19 prevention and control in the new situation; disseminating waste classification at source, exchanging waste for gifts; launching the "Eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho" tree planting festival; visiting, offering flowers, incense at Di An city’s Martyrs' Cemetery; visiting and offering gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers...
Lam Hoang Thuy Trang, Secretary of Di An city’s Youth Union said: "In parallel with the province's program, the Youth Union branches of wards in the city launched the peak day of "Voluntarily joining hand in building up civilized urban, new-style rural areas", cleaning roads, planting flowers, organizing "Green Sunday” programs; legal propaganda; deployed registration to update ideas and initiatives to the Vietnam Creative Ideas Bank… The city’s Youth Union and its branches will be determined to well implement the Youth Month to bring about social effects, joining hands with people to build up a more and more thriving Di An…”.
Youth sharing efforts
Joining the enthusiasm and atmosphere of launching the Youth Month in Di An city, with the deployment of provincial Youth Union, Youth Union branches of districts, towns and cities in the province have also organized many practical activities. Thu Dau Mot city’s Youth Union conducted all its branches to launch "Green Sunday" programs. Accordingly, the Youth Union branches of Hiep An and Tan An wards got involved in removing illegal ads, planting flower parterres on Nguyen Chi Thanh self-governing youth street. In addition, the Youth Union branch of Hoa Phu ward cleaned roads, eradicated illegal ads, tended flower parterres at the ward’s People's Committee...
Many practical activities also took place in Thuan An city’s Binh Hoa ward. The local Youth Union members delivered leaflets on traffic safety propaganda, cleaned BH01, BH09, BH24 youth streets in Dong Ba, Binh Duc, Dong An 2 quarters and Nguyen Du self-governing street in Binh Dang quarter. In addition, the local Youth Union also visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, former youth volunteers, policy beneficiary families and students with difficult circumstances…
Mr. Lam said: "In the program to launch works, deeds during the Youth Month, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has directed Youth Union branches to carry out the campaign of "Each youth has a creative idea", strive to fulfill the target of proposing at least 5,000 ideas and initiatives. They must organize activities to join hands in building civilized urban, new-style rural areas, maintaining and improving the quality of self-governing youth roads; eradicating black spots on environment and illegal garbage collection points; hold "Green Sunday" programs, promote the local tree planting activities with the goal of striving to plant 10,000 green trees. For social welfare activities, provincial Youth Union at all levels well performed health consultation, provided free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor; gave gifts for policy beneficiaries; supported the construction of houses for disadvantaged children; built or upgraded playgrounds for children…
