The Youth Month 2023 with the theme of "Youth pioneering in digital transformation" has left a deep impression through a series of programs and activities of youth in the province. The highlight of the Youth Month is not only its impressive numbers, but also rich in content and form, thereby expressing the will and aspiration of Youth Union members to join hands for a peaceful, civilized, modern, affectionate Binh Duong.

6,000 Youth Union members participating in digital transformation

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that with the theme of "Youth pioneering in digital transformation", provincial Youth Union Standing Committee focused on directing all-level Youth Unions to implement activities of the Youth Month synchronously, simultaneously and effectively, thereby raising Youth Union officials and members’ awareness of the pioneering mission in making digital transformation, applying information technology (IT) - communication, mastering science and technology, digital technology in life, socio-economic development, promoting digital transformation in the Youth Union work, among Youth Union members and the social community, contributing to developing high-quality young human resources in the field of IT, fostering digital government, digital economy, digital society...

Binh Duong youth supporting people to perform online public services

Accordingly, during the Youth Month 2023, Binh Duong youth actively participated in community-based digital technology groups. For the tasks to be put into practice and implemented quickly, provincial Youth Union and Police Agency signed and implemented a plan to coordinate in promoting the volunteer role of Youth Unions at all levels in propagandizing and guiding people to install, activate electronic identification accounts in the province; set up community-based digital transformation groups to participate in activities to guide people to install and activate electronic identification accounts at level 2. Accordingly, 100% of districts, towns and cities ‘Youth Unions completed targets on guiding people to activate their electronic identification accounts at level 2. As many as 585 community-based digital transformation groups were established, with nearly 6,000 volunteers.

Provincial Youth unions at all levels actively propagandized digital transformation among people,  guided them to perform online public services; guided, supported them to apply and use propaganda and connectivity tools on social networking channels. Provincial  Youth Unions at all levels also strengthened propaganda and promoted the use of interactive digital platforms between the government and people, including "1022 - Binh Duong" app, "Digital Binh Duong" application, open data portal, "Binh Duong Tourism" app, switchboard 1022, system for receiving and processing complaints from people and enterprises (https://1022. binhduong.gov.vn).

On weekends during the Youth Month, young cadres, civil servants organized the "Volunteer Saturday" program to support people in administrative procedures. Especially, localities organized the "peak day of volunteering to support people in performing public services and propagandizing workplace culture" in association with deploying 15 peak days to support people to install and activate electronic identification accounts at level 2 on electronic identification application.

In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels were busy with activities to promote the national and local historical and cultural relics in association with digital transformation activities. Accordingly, Youth Union members carried out 22 digitization works of documents, objects, information about historical places, red addresses.

Over VND 2.1 billion spent on taking care of children

Along with digital transformation activities, Binh Duong youngsters have actively got involved in supporting disadvantaged children; lonely elderly people and giving public healthcare. Accordingly, during this year's Youth Month, provincial Youth Unions at all levels gave healthcare for 1,200 people, presented 202 health insurance cards to people, and organized 17 voluntary blood donation rounds with nearly 2,000 volunteers. Besides, there were support activities for students, young lecturers to study and do scientific research through academic clubs.

The highlight was that provincial Youth Unions at all levels awarded 7,585 gifts and scholarships worth VND 2.1 billion to children. They also simultaneously organized "The peak day of volunteering to participate in new-style rural construction" with such tasks as upgrading rural roads; repairing cultural houses to support digital transformation, applying scientific and technological advances in agricultural production; promoting propaganda and implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, upholding the formation of young intellectuals who volunteer to participate in new-style rural construction; organizing activities to transfer new agricultural science and technology to Youth Union members...

The activities were widely and deeply deployed, creating positive social effects.
