Yamamoto Kazuhito, CEO of Taisei Bijutsu Printing Vietnam Company during working hours.

 - What is the reason for Japanese businesses to choose investing in Binh Duong, sir?

- First of all, I would like to talk about common points when choosing Binh Duong as an investment destination. Vietnam is a country with a population of more than 90 million people, is politically stable and well-secured. Vietnamese people are friendly and skillful. In terms of economic development, we realize that Vietnam is a country with an outstanding economic growth among Asian countries and is developing rapidly. In the region, Singapore has achieved growth comparable to that of developed countries, while Malaysia and Thailand have become middle and emerging countries. Following that, in my opinion, are Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. Vietnam has a young human resource that is sufficient for businesses, has successfully implemented the economic opening policy, thus this country is expected to grow rapidly in the future. That is a great advantage for enterprises to invest.

As coming to Vietnam, we chose Binh Duong, because this province has a favorable geographical location and has no risk of flooding. Industrial zones here have firm grounds that are suitable for building factories. In addition, Binh Duong is adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, has very favorable conditions for investment activities of businesses. Binh Duong is again the locality leading the implementation of the economic openness policy compared to other provinces and cities in the country.

In 2007, as deciding to promote investment in Binh Duong, we were introduced by Becamex IDC Corporation. At that time, Becamex IDC had grown tremendously and we also enjoyed tax incentives. Our company was guided by Becamex IDC to carry out investment activities here very conveniently.

The relationship between Japanese companies and Binh Duong authorities is very good. Meetings and dialogues with trade-industry associations, training sessions on tax, and related procedures also helped our company to better understand the policies year by year, thus we feel secure and attach ourselves with this place.

- What contributions are you ready to make to Binh Duong province's development?

- Vietnam in general, Binh Duong in particular is a land, where people believe in a beautiful life with the motto "tomorrow will be better than today". And that's what I'm very happy about as living here.

Our company is mainly dealing in printing packaging, producing product containers for customers. Packaging is essential for many manufacturing companies to bring their products to the world. A product should have packaging to protect; beautiful outer decorative box is to enhance product image. I think this is a necessary industry for Vietnam to turn towards the future of becoming a country with a developed industry. We are moving forward with the intention of transferring Japanese printing technology to Vietnam. Our Vietnamese employees have a dream of working together to create high-quality products. Our company wants, through business activities, to contribute more to people here, especially to help all employees have a happy life.

- In your opinion, what conditions should the authorities support in life?

Currently, most Japanese people live in Ho Chi Minh City and come to work in industrial zones in Binh Duong. In the future, we want to have housing areas for foreigners with good and comfortable environment in Binh Duong. The good news is that at present Binh Duong has large shopping centers, hospitals, and residential areas under construction. I think if a school for Japanese children is built here, in the future there will be many Japanese families coming to live in Binh Duong.

- As an individual, what would you say to friends about Binh Duong's investment environment?

- We are ready to introduce favorable features to Japanese investors. Investment promotion activities in the South Binh Duong have taken place very conveniently, investment capital and lease rent of lands in industrial zones was still low. This place has a stable basic electrical system, materials imported through ports are very convenient. Binh Duong's technical infrastructure is very good, convenient; the close attention of all governmental levels and sectors to difficulties of investors has created great confidence for investors.

In addition, the recruitment of employees for companies is easier than in other regions. We can recruit in many different ways. Vietnamese people work hard, work seriously but also are very skillful. In addition, the number of Japanese people residing in Binh Duong in serviced apartments, such as Sora Gardens, or other apartments invested by Becamex Tokyu Group in Binh Duong New City are offered at low prices, have secure living environment and convenience. This is also an advantage to stimulate investment, business activities here...

- Thank you Sir!
